STERLING SOLOMON DESIGNS

Sterling Solomon Designs was commissioned to develop a concept for a back bar shelving display for a prominent nightclub in Toronto, Ontario. Given the owners' obsession for bass-driven,  wall-rattling electronic music, we felt it only appropriate to exploit the graphic nature of a sound-wave as the main driver for our concept. We mapped a sound-wave diagram on the back bar through use of Lucite and metal irregularly shaped bars that will be illuminated and will sync with the dj's playlist. This will create a focal point within the nightclub and will provide a strong visual connection from the dj booth on the opposite side of the room. Bottles will be stored in between the illuminated bars and will sit on glass shelves.
